This is a collection of illustration I've made for a calendar in 2013. There was the Year of the Snake, and the theme of all project were myths and legends about snakes from all over the world. Here I collected the stories from northern legends of the Yourmungard-snake and its fight with mighty Thor to the slavs myths about woman with the "snake" legs who cares the home coziness, awful snake Aspid who can only live on stones; from aincent Greek stories about the founder of medical treatment Asklepius and myth about Medusa creature to the legends and tales of Africa (the rainbow snake), Japan (two snake-bodied lovers who carry the whole world), South America ( the Quetzalcoatl snake) and other stories. All of them where placed on each page of the calendar, making all the process of changes in season far more interesting and joyfull. The calendar was mostly produced for children.
